The Twilight Tour

Perfect for first timers, this unique kayak adventure begins with a 1.5 hour self-guided tour of the breathtaking Derwent River. Tour guests will gain a rare perspective of the scenic town that you can only experience from the seat of a kayak. On this tour you pass over large underwater stone caverns touted to be up to 150 metres deep, view an abundance of wildlife and appreciate the towering sandstone cliffs that frame the river’s banks.
After a short 12km drive, our tour continues at the Derwent Valley’s Farm Bar, a truly unique farm-based brewery producing boutique ales and ciders made from locally sourced and self-grown ingredients. We have the chance to meet the owners Jane and Ashley for a guided tour from the converted shearing shed, with their story of how it all came to be. A gourmet selection platter of local and fresh produce is provided, with a complimentary beer, ale or cider tasting per person. As an optional extra, Two Metre Tall beer-fed beef can be purchased at the brewery for you to grill on their BBQ or take home to enjoy. Details
